Preparation Processing Instructions
⌄
- Prepare substrate by enclosed grinding, shot blasting, or mechanical scarification to ensure a clean surface free from dust, loose particles, and weak surface layers.
- Remove all contaminants completely, including oils, fats, greases, paint residues, chemicals, algae, and laitance.
- New concrete must cure minimum 28 days @ 25°C before application, achieving minimum compressive strength 25 N/mm² and tensile strength at least 1.5 N/mm².
- Remove curing membranes by mechanical sanding or chemical etching using a suitable heavy-duty detergent.
- Oil/grease contaminated concrete must be cleaned using an appropriate degreasing agent.
- Remove loose/friable/unsound concrete by chipping, grinding, scarifying, shot blasting, or sanding to expose sound substrate.
- Application over existing coatings should be considered short-term; remove peeling/blistered/degraded coatings by sanding, shot blasting, scarification, or suitable stripping methods. Clean intact coatings with strong detergent and lightly abrade to remove surface gloss.
- Areas worn through to bare concrete shall be treated as new concrete surfaces.
- SN LEVEL 200 shall be used to level uneven/damaged substrates and may also be applied as a permanent moisture suppressant system where high residual moisture or rising damp conditions are present.
Typical System System Products
⌄
The products in the system include:
- SN 100 ESD MC
- SN 100 ESD PRIMER
- SN 100 ESD SLE
Processing Application
⌄
- System products are multi-components and pre-packed in sets. Each set requires effective and homogenous mixing using a drill and helical spinner, with minimal air inclusion, in a clean mixing barrel prior to applying.
- SN 100 ESD MC is a 2-component priming product spread by squeegee and finished with roller.
- Fix copper tape grids and connect safely to the grounding point.
- SN 100 ESD PRIMER is a 2-component heavily carbon filled priming product spread by squeegee and finished with roller.
- SN 100 ESD SLE is a 3-component self-levelling top coat applied on cured primer by squeegee, trowel, and spike roller.
Reworking Recoating
⌄
If recoating is carried out within 24–36 hours after application, sanding of the existing coating is not required. Recoating beyond this period is only permissible following careful mechanical sanding to ensure adequate surface key and adhesion.
Health & Safety PPE
⌄
- Appropriate health and safety advice can be found in the Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Users are advised to wear gloves and eye protection when mixing or applying SN 100 ESD PRIMER System.
