Product Description What it is
⌄

SN-Seal 2000 LS is a water-based penetrating concrete treatment formulated to seal, harden and improve the surface characteristics of concrete. The product penetrates into the concrete pore structure and reacts within the substrate to produce a denser and more durable surface.

The treatment helps improve surface hardness, reduces dusting and enhances the appearance of concrete. Properly treated surfaces develop improved resistance to routine wear, cleaning and general service conditions.

SN-Seal 2000 LS is suitable for both newly finished and existing concrete floors.

Areas of Application Where to use
⌄

SN-Seal 2000 LS is recommended for concrete surfaces where improved hardness, reduced dusting, better surface appearance and easier maintenance are required.

Typical applications

{ul(["Industrial floors","Warehouses","Production areas","Commercial floors","Parking areas","Other suitable concrete surfaces"])}

New Concrete

For newly placed concrete, extensive preparation is normally not required. Apply SN-Seal 2000 LS after completion of final trowelling and necessary joint work. Where a compatible curing treatment is required, SN-Seal 2000 LS should be applied at the appropriate stage before the subsequent treatment.

Existing Concrete

SN-Seal 2000 LS can also be applied to fully cured existing concrete, provided the substrate is structurally sound and properly prepared. Existing coatings, oil, grease, dust, dirt, laitance, construction residue, loose patching materials and other contaminants that could interfere with penetration must be removed before application.

Weak or loose surface material should be mechanically removed. Acid etching is generally not necessary. Where additional preparation is required, sanding or nylon-grit brushing followed by thorough water cleaning may be used.

Surface Preparation Substrate readiness
⌄

The concrete substrate must be clean and free from materials that may restrict penetration. Remove dust, dirt, grease, oil and other contamination thoroughly.

Where wet cleaning has been carried out, allow approximately 30 minutes or sufficient time for the surface to dry. Before application, remove remaining fine dust, hair, sand and loose particles using a clean microfiber pad or suitable cleaning method.

Application Method & Equipment How to apply
⌄

Application Method

Apply SN-Seal 2000 LS uniformly over the prepared concrete surface. The product may be distributed using a low-pressure sprayer and then worked evenly over the floor with a microfiber applicator, push broom or squeegee. Maintain uniform distribution and avoid unnecessary accumulation of material in isolated areas.

For polishing applications, allow the treatment to penetrate and partially dry. The surface may then be finished using suitable high-speed polishing equipment until the desired dry finish and appearance are obtained.

Where a compatible wax system is required, the first wax treatment may normally be carried out approximately 30 minutes after completion of the initial treatment, depending on actual site and drying conditions. Where required, 2–3 coats may be used to improve durability and support longer-lasting wax performance.

Typical Coverage Yield
⌄

Approximately 21–26 m²/kg

Actual coverage will depend on concrete porosity, surface profile, substrate condition, application method and number of treatments applied.

Drying & Finishing Finish
⌄

Allow SN-Seal 2000 LS sufficient time to penetrate into the concrete and begin drying. Where polishing is required, polishing should be carried out at the appropriate stage of drying and continued until a uniform dry finish is achieved.

Actual drying time varies according to ambient temperature, relative humidity, ventilation, concrete porosity and quantity of material applied.

Storage & Shelf Life Storage
⌄

Store SN-Seal 2000 LS in its original unopened container in a clean and dry location.

Recommended Storage Temperature: 4°C–38°C (40°F–100°F)

Shelf Life: 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly in the original unopened packaging.

Keep containers securely closed when not in use and protect the product from unsuitable storage conditions and incompatible materials.

Maintenance Long-term care
⌄

Treated concrete should be maintained through regular cleaning using clean water or a suitable neutral floor-cleaning system. Where the finished floor incorporates a wax treatment, avoid prolonged standing water on the surface.

Appropriate routine cleaning and polishing will help maintain the appearance and service performance of the treated floor.

Health & Safety Precautions
⌄

Eye Protection

Where eye contact may occur, suitable safety glasses with side protection or chemical splash goggles should be worn.

Skin Protection

For prolonged or repeated handling, suitable chemical-resistant gloves and protective work clothing are recommended.

Respiratory Protection

Respiratory protection is normally not required when adequate ventilation is maintained.

Ventilation

Provide sufficient general or local ventilation during handling and application.

Accidental Release Spill response
⌄

For small spills, collect the spilled material using an appropriate method and place it in a suitable container for disposal. Where safe to do so, unaffected containers should be moved away from the spill area.

For larger spills, contain the material to prevent further spreading and restrict unnecessary access to the affected area.

Dispose of collected material in accordance with applicable requirements.

Fire Information Emergency
⌄

SN-Seal 2000 LS is not considered a significant fire or explosion hazard under normal handling conditions.

In the event of a surrounding fire, use an extinguishing medium suitable for the materials involved. Where it can be performed safely, containers may be moved away from the affected area. Avoid inhalation of combustion or decomposition products.

Handling Precautions Safe handling
⌄

Handle SN-Seal 2000 LS according to good industrial practice and applicable local requirements. Keep the container properly closed when not in use.

Avoid unnecessary contact with eyes and skin and keep the product away from incompatible substances. Suitable eyewash and washing facilities should be available in the work area where appropriate.
